FAQ
-
What kind of care do you provide?I provide care for children of all ages. My services include full-time, and part-time care. As well as date nights, last minute care, sick care, transportation, and even over-night care. I also provide care for animals. You can board them with me, or I can come to you depending on my schedule!
-
What does a typical day look like for my child?Tons of fun! I enjoy teaching the children I am watching everything they need to know along the way. Sharing and playing together with other kids is a priority and always fun! Eating, playing and sleeping are typical in the Porter house!
-
What do I need to bring for my child? Please provide breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Diaper bag and extra clothes. I have snacks, drinks, extra food, toys, blankets, beds, cribs, and carseats available for use. * If there are any allergies please make sure to specify and provide all necessary food items for your child while under my care.
-
What are your hours? All the time! I am the only provider, so my schedule can book out pretty far. However, I will work with you on scheduling as best as I can in order to fit you in!
-
What are your rates?I typically charge an hourly rate. However, I offer daily and weekly rates depending on your situation. Reach out if you have any specific questions or concerns regarding my rates!
-
What are your policies on vacation/sick days/holidays/etc.?I try to stay on schedule as much as possible. If I need a vacation day(s), I will let you know at least a month in advance by any means. I am willing to still watch your child if I am not contagious, per your consent. If your child is contagious, I ask that you keep them home for the safety of the other children. If I have no other children to care for, I will offer sick care. I will work holidays if at all possible.
-
How many children do you watch? My child care load is always changing based on need for parents. At any given time I will have anywhere from 1-5 children. Most of the time if I have 5 children it will only be for a span of 30 mins to an hour. Most children I care for are on a more part-time basis, so they are in my care different days and hours each week.
